Break The Frame Annual Photography Exhibit

Description:Break the Frame is Critical Exposure's 2016 Annual Student Exhibit where our young people use photography to Break the Frame of the stories told about them. See the frames that our youth created in order to explore the world through their own eyes. This is often the first time the students have ever been to an art gallery, and it's amazing to watch them as they see hundreds of people come out to look at their photos and read their stories. It's the moment they realize that they're really artists and that people really care what they have to say.

Critical Exposure is a nonprofit that trains youth to use photography, organizing and advocacy to make real change in their schools and communities.

Behavioral health services can make all the difference in helping these children process, heal, and be healthy.

DREAMer grants also support other immigration related expenses for LAYC youth. In the past year, the fund helped 10 youth apply for or renew DACA, U.S. Citizenship, or Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
