Our mission is to provide job placement for individuals seeking marketplace jobs who are eager, willing, and ready to work. Since the organization was founded in 1981, nearly 26,000 people have gone to work, meeting the needs of the business community citywide. We pride ourselves on encouraging every applicant throughout the entire job process, from their initial meetings with a dedicated job counselor, to workshops on interviewing skills, conflict resolution, goal-setting, resume development, assistance with online applications, interviews arranged, and finally with the acquisition of a job. We also provide up to two years of continuing support, currently employed clients move towards stabilization and greater economic self-sufficiency. Gaining employment is often the most transformative event for those in dire need because adequate income then enables that individual to provide for their most basic necessities. These needs include food, housing, clothing, financial support and more. We connect our applicants to a larger network of nonprofit organizations that offer a community of extended support. We have also developed amazing relationships with hiring managers, which enables us to help clients find jobs. With more than 35 years of experience, we have developed a strong reputation for making strides to reducing poverty through job placement.
