The SHSAA was founded in 1973 to help students afford to pay for a college education. Since then, public donations have helped this "little association that could" achieve the following:

200+: number of scholarships awarded
$14,000: amount awarded annually in scholarships
$100,000+: amount raised by endowment fund for future scholarships
250: number of filled school supply backpacks donated annually
