Organization Details
Animal Allies, established in 1984, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of companion animals. We are a humane organization promoting spaying and neutering as an important part of responsible pet ownership. We support trap, neuter, and return (TNR) as a humane alternative for feral cats. We also promote the humane treatment of all animals, ecological values, and wildlife preservation.

More About Us
Animal Allies seeks to combat animal homelessness. This can only be done by reducing the overpopulation; therefore, all the animals that we re-home are spayed or neutered to reduce their competition for good homes. All feral cats that we trap are also sterilized, so that they too will not produce offspring that will starve, become ill, or be a nuisance causing them to be abused. We maintain oversight of these feral cat colonies to ensure their wellbeing, as well as provide food for them. We try to provide the best veterinary care possible for all animals and microchip those being re-homed. We seek good and appropriate homes for all our adopted animals and humanely educate all whom we contact. We also help finance spay/neuter surgeries for pets of financially compromised individuals. Our impact is evident at the local shelters where the euthanasia rate has decreased significantly.

Animal Allies also has a 98 acre property serving as a sanctuary that deer, foxes, rabbits, squirrels and birds call their homes. Caretakers reside there, ensuring that this remains a safe haven for these animals amidst the continual depletion of wildlife habitat. This is an environmental oasis protecting the water and fostering environmental projects that benefit humans as well as animals. It also houses a limited number of unadoptable cats that may be physically challenged and for which trap. neuter was not an option.
